Contrary to my recent string of alcohol-laden posts, this entry in my 2012 Log of Ireland Travels–certainly destined to become the next Tom Cruise – Nicole Kidman movie–completely eschews spirits of any kind…unless you count the ghost of myself I saw as the tour bus du jour crept along the sinuous narrow road, which skirts the Dingle Peninsula, in Kerry County.
This seemingly suicide route was most literally between a rock (the cliff above the road) and a hard place (the cliff below the road).
BTW – this is, in fact, a two-way road.
Just past where that first picture was snapped, as I tried to keep my eyes closed to not notice the thousands (?) of feet drop, we pulled over to take a look down at the dramatic beach what was the set for the Tom Cruise – Nicole Kidman movie, Far and Away.
While Tom and Nicole did not seem to be around some twenty years since the movie was made, I finally figured out where blue wool sweaters come from.
